A recurrent theme in my work is the image of a nest.  The nest is a powerful metaphor suggesting comfort, home, protection and family.   I gather materials from the everyday: posters from urban areas, a variety of maps, old typed or handwritten letters, canceled postage stamps, clothing tags, and some papers that would simply be considered trash. In addition I incorporate items of whimsy and reflections of the everyday.  I desire to tell a visual narrative with each work that evokes an emotional connection with the viewer.
